Organizations – Intercultural Communication
Workshop / Training

Are you familiar with any of the following scenarios?

Your company posted abroad one of the brightest and most promising employees; to help him settle in the new country, he received a very generous relocation package, and his partner got a work visa.

The hopes and expectations of your company’s management team are high, and they are confident he will achieve all goals leading the company to great success.

But to your surprise, the employee’s accomplishments are far below average, and he does not get along with the local team—what a disappointment and a waste of resources.

or

Your company worked a long time on a business partnership with a client abroad; They did comprehensive preliminary work, conducted market surveys, administered feasibility studies, created a business strategy, calculated budgets, and raised studies of profits and losses.

Finally, they are ready to proceed by sending your best negotiators and deal closers to seal the agreement and start the project. The pressure and excitement are high, and the expectations are enormous, but time passes, people travel back and forth, cannot reach an understanding, and are not getting closer to signing the contract.

The frustration is high – The company wasted so much time and energy, and it seems there is no return on investment.

How can the results be so disappointing after you did all the necessary work and sent your best people abroad?

Studies performed by leading mobility and global management companies (Mercer, BGRS, AIRINC) found that one of the main reasons for conflicts between colleagues, relocation failure, and stagnant international projects is unawareness of the importance of intercultural communication

There is no doubt that to be successful in today’s open economic markets and diverse global business environment, you must gain:

  • Knowledge of culture’s impact on interpersonal communication
  • Ability to navigate between cultures.
  • Global business-cultural thinking.

These essential skills often determine the success of international deals, projects, and assignments.
